Got my hands on this picture taken behind the scenes at a shoot for cocksuremen.com. Jeremy and Tory don’t count as fag stags, Tory is gay and Jeremy is bisexual, but they look too cute not to post. Thanks to Jake Cruise for leaking this one to us… Hoping that we’ll see more later…

The band is called “Cobra Starship” but the video was done by a bunch of gay film students who wanted a freaking gay rock band to worship. Or something.

Either way, the song is only available if you search the torrents for a Fall Out Boy Mixtape put out by their label. But it’s catchy. I’ve been driving around Los Angeles all week blasting it out my windows and singing really loud.

Cuz I don’t give a shit who knows I like to kiss boys, dammit.

OK, not like I’d stoop so low as to watch Twilight. I only made it about 3 chapters into the book before it went in the trash. If I want to read a book about vampires, it won’t be one with eunuch “Creatures of the afternoon” who go to school, walk around in the sun light and save themselves for marriage.

Oh, and then I found out the twerp who wrote it is a Mormon who doesn’t watch R-rated movies, thinks real vampire books and movies are “creepy” and… who needs more to hate her guts? She had me at “Mormon.”

Anyway, I was willing to give Robert Pattinson a pass since he was in Harry Potter and the Goblet Of Fire and he’s hot.  But then I heard that he’s crying like a little baby about having to have gay sex in a movie about a gay icon. Apparently, he’s going to play Salvador Dali biopic Little Ashes.  

He tells GQ magazine, “(The hardest part was) trying to do it doggie-style. Trying to have a nervous breakdown while doing it doggie-style. And it wasn’t even a closed set. There were all these Spanish electricians giggling to themselves.”

I’m SO FUCKING SICK of straight actors taking gay parts and then bitching about having to actually do gross things like kiss guys or have simulated sex. 

SO… NOTE TO ALL STRAIGHT ACTORS.

If you get offered a role in a movie playing a gay icon like Harvey Milk, Salvador Dali or the Marlboro Man… read the fucking script first. If there’s gay stuff in it that makes you get all freaky… either don’t take the part or don’t do interviews where you remind your gay fans how repulsive you find them.

NOTE TO CASTING DIRECTORS…

There are plenty of young gay actors out there who deserve a break. Give them one and maybe we can have a few gay stars instead of straight men whining about pretending to be.

I love to read but honestly, after a while I’m kinda tired of reading books with no fucking gay characters at all. As much as I like “gay subtext” like Fight Club and Lord of the Rings, I’d kinda like to read a book where the guy gets the guy or at least gets his chance to date him. 

Reading about gay characters I can relate to is a lot more… fun?

Gay fiction isn’t that hard to find but with the closing of my favorite bookstore in West Hollywood, it’s about to get a little harder. So I joined the InsightOutbooks club. It’s a gay book club kinda like those old CD and DVD clubs. Buy a bunch of books for hardly anything and then buy a few more at full price over the next couple years. 

I’m glad I found it. I haven’t got much “fine fiction” there but I’ve had a damn good time with some light reading. Figured I should share a few with you.

My first… Out Of The Pocket by Bill Konigsberg. It’s the story of Bobby Framingham, gay football player.. star quarterback. Terrified of how his friends, family, team, coach and potential college recruiters will react to his newly-discovered sexuality, Bobby meets Bryan… slightly older college hunk and fellow football nut. 

Ok, so ground-breaking prose it’s not but it’s a lot of fun to read. By the end you’ll be rooting for both Bobby and his team of high school jocks.

Ok, the most bizarre thing about this intentionally bizarre band was that Madonna was, at one point, their drummer. While you put together a mental picture of that, just take into account that it was the late 70s when they formed and there was a lot of Coke in New York City.

Cute singer, great songs and a great marketing campaign was only enough to get them one real hit, “Right On Track.” It’s still a great song and Steven Bray went on to write most of Madonna’s best hits in the early 90s.
